Register as a Try-Out Player before Rep Tryouts
On or after September 1st, as per the requirement from the Ontario Volleyball Association (OVA), all athletes must register as a tryout player in their Member Registration System (MRS) prior to stepping onto a court for a tryout. This is to ensure the athlete and parent/guardian have reviewed and signed off on the Waiver of Liability and the Rowans Law Concussion policy and education sheets, as mandated by law by the government of Ontario.
Create an account for your child or login to the OVA MRS website. Please ensure the account’s name is under your child’s – not under the parent/guardian’s name.

While going through the registration, select “Try-out Player” on the “Registration – Role Selection” page. A reminder this is a free membership.
On the day of your child’s first tryout, players will be asked to show proof of registration that shows they are listed as a “try-out player”. Please note this is mandatory in order to participate in tryouts and it is the responsibility of OVA Clubs to verify OVA athletes’ registration prior to participating in tryouts. A screenshot or printed copy of the account dashboard that clearly indicates the player’s name and try-out membership is required. An example of what we are looking for has been attached below. Please do not email us proof of registration before the tryouts.
