IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • Both Rep Beach Training and High Performance are training programs only and do not include competitions, aside from occasional mini-tournaments on Fridays.

What Sets High Performance Apart?

The High Performance Beach Program offers a smaller, more focused training environment, with 50% fewer players per group compared to Rep Beach Training. Athletes receive elite coaching from Team Canada Olympian Dan Dearing, who leads 90-95% of all sessions, ensuring top-tier instruction. Players train with a consistent group of 6-8 teammates, allowing them to build chemistry with potential competition partners.

With extended court time, athletes gain the endurance needed for long tournament days. The invite-only structure fosters a highly competitive atmosphere, bringing together players who are committed to improving their game. While the program itself is training-focused, players are expected to compete in at least three OVA beach tournaments and Provincials, proudly representing the club. To maximize development, athletes are strongly encouraged to enroll in both High Performance and Rep Beach Training. By aligning their training schedule, players can optimize endurance, refine their skills, and be fully prepared for the competitive season ahead.

How to Register for Tournaments

  1. Choose Your Partner:

    • Players are expected to select a main partner at the start of the program for tournaments and Provincials.
    • They may compete in additional tournaments with other players but should prioritize training with their main partner.
  2. Sign Up Through OVA:

    • Parents must log into their OVA account to register for tournaments.
    • Only one parent registers the team and pays the fee (~$93 per tournament / ~$46 per player).
    • Coordinate with your partner’s family to confirm dates and payment.
  3. Tournament Schedule:

    • Click here to view the OVA Beach Tour Dates & Registration.
    • A minimum of three OVA tournaments is required to qualify for Provincials, but we recommend competing in 6-8 tournaments throughout the season.
    • EVP will host several tournaments right here on our home courts on the Oakville/Mississauga border, giving our players a home-court advantage.
