Q: What level should I sign up for?

RECREATIONAL Designed for players/teams with basic volleyball skills. Emphasis is on bumping and setting, with a slower-paced style of play. RECREATIONAL+ A tiered 6's division. Teams are split into two tiers and movement between tiers occurs every 2–3 weeks based on performance. For players/teams who have begun to focus on touches that leads to attacks. Lots of bumping and setting over the net still occurs, with a slightly faster pace than Recreational. INTERMEDIATE For players/teams with more developed skills. All players should be comfortable with all aspects of the game, including hitting. This division is not intended for highly competitive teams. Play is faster and more dynamic than Recreational. INTERMEDIATE+ A tiered 4’s division. Teams are split into two tiers and movement between tiers occurs every 2–3 weeks based on performance. Ideal for strong Intermediate and Competitive 4’s teams. COMPETITIVE For experienced players/teams who are confident in all aspects of the game. This division features a high volume of attacks and a fast-paced, competitive environment. Please Note: EVP reserves the right to move individuals or teams between divisions based on league numbers and skill level. Following the preseason, teams may be adjusted if placement is not aligned with their level of play.

Q: What is a tiered league?

A tiered league means teams are divided into two divisions and will play only against teams within their division. The league will be tiered if more than 12 teams are registered. Team standings will be reviewed every few weeks, and teams may move between divisions based on performance. Currently, our Recreational+ 6’s and Intermediate+ 4’s divisions are the only tiered divisions.

Q: What happens if my team doesn’t have enough players or doesn’t meet the minimum female requirement?

Your team can play with the players you have. If needed, you can ask other teams on-site if any players are available to step in. In some rare cases, an EVP staff member may be able to help, but this cannot be guaranteed.

Q: What should I do if my team can’t attend a game?

If your team is unable to attend a scheduled game, please contact our Adult League Coordinator as soon as possible.

Q: I registered as an individual — when will I know which team I’m on?

Each division forms a single team made up of individuals. Participants will be rostered to their team in TeamSnap, and you can view your teammates directly in the TeamSnap app.

Kick off the summer and join us on the beach! Adults (18+) can register as an individual or as a team. If you're looking to play as much beach volleyball as possible this summer, our Full Season will begin the week of May 11. The first three weeks will be pre-season with no referees. The Regular season will begin the week of June 1 with referees. A requirement of one female per 4's team and two females per 6's team is required. The league finishes the week of August 17. Not ready to commit? Join us for pick-up on Fridays and Sundays or sign up for an upcoming tournament.

Beach Adult League takes place at our EVP Beach Courts located at 3091 Ninth Line. See below for league options and pricing. All beach programs run rain or shine. However, in the case of severe weather that impacts the quality or safety of the program, we will cancel and notify participants accordingly.
