EVP Eagles Announces 2026–2027 Indoor Rep Offer Process and Program Expansion

The EVP Eagles are excited to officially begin preparations for the 2026–2027 Indoor REP Volleyball season as we continue one of the biggest periods of growth in club history.

Over the past several seasons, the EVP Eagles program has continued to grow into one of the premier volleyball clubs in Ontario, and for the upcoming season we are proud to announce a major expansion of our REP program from 15 teams to an anticipated 24 teams across multiple age groups.

As part of this growth, EVP will also be expanding into Mississauga through our partnership with Fit Courts Mississauga, creating more opportunities for athletes across Oakville, Mississauga, and the surrounding communities to train and compete within the EVP Eagles system.

With this expansion comes increased opportunity — but also a more detailed and longer player selection and offer process.

Understanding the EVP Eagles Offer Process

The EVP Eagles will continue to follow the Ontario Volleyball Association guidelines regarding player offers and commitments throughout the summer and fall.

For the 2026–2027 season, there will be two primary phases of offseason offers:

1. Re-Signing Offers (June 1st – June 30th)

These offers are reserved for returning EVP Eagles athletes from the 2025–2026 season.

At EVP, we pride ourselves on being a loyal club that values the athletes, parents, and families who have invested in our program and culture. When our coaching staff works with an athlete for an entire season, we gain valuable insight into not only their volleyball ability, but also their work ethic, attitude, coachability, leadership, commitment to teammates, and overall fit within the club culture.

Because of this, EVP has always believed in giving returning athletes strong consideration throughout the re-signing process. Whenever there is a close decision, we believe loyalty and commitment to the club matter.

For the upcoming season, we expect approximately 90 initial re-signing offers to be sent out to returning players during the month of June. After the first wave of offers is sent, additional re-signing offers will continue throughout the month as teams evolve and roster decisions become clearer.

It is extremely important for families to understand the following:

If a player does NOT receive an offer during the first week of June, it DOES NOT mean the club does not want them.

With more than 180 athletes in the program last season and an expected expansion to roughly 240 REP athletes next year, it is simply not possible — nor strategically responsible — for the club to fill all roster spots immediately.

EVP is committed to maintaining opportunity and competition within our tryout process. Every year athletes improve significantly throughout the summer, and we always want to ensure there is meaningful space available for September tryouts.

2. Open Commitment Offers (July 1st – August 31st)

Beginning July 1st, EVP Eagles will begin extending Open Commitment Offers to athletes both inside and outside of the club.

These offers may include:

  • Returning EVP athletes
  • Athletes who previously played for EVP
  • Athletes from other clubs
  • Players identified through open gyms, camps, beach volleyball, and offseason evaluations

As a competitive REP club, EVP is committed to continuously improving and building strong teams at every age group. While loyalty matters greatly to us, we also believe in creating opportunities for athletes who put in the work, improve over the offseason, and prove they are ready for the next level.

This is one of the reasons why EVP intentionally keeps approximately 40–50% of roster spaces available heading into September tryouts.

Every season, there are athletes who make major improvements over the summer and earn roster spots through hard work, determination, and strong tryout performances. We believe those athletes deserve real opportunities to compete for positions within our program.

The Most Important Thing Families Should Understand

Please do not panic if your athlete does not receive an early offer.

Many athletes who do not receive June or summer offers will still go on to make EVP teams during September tryouts.

The EVP Eagles coaching staff takes the selection process extremely seriously. Our goal is not simply to fill teams quickly — our goal is to build the strongest possible teams, create the best developmental environments, and continue building a club culture centered around accountability, loyalty, growth, hard work, and opportunity.

As we continue expanding into new facilities, adding new coaches, and increasing opportunities across Oakville and Mississauga, we are incredibly excited for what the future holds for the EVP Eagles family.

We thank all players and families for their continued support and look forward to another exciting REP season ahead.

Rise Together. Soar Together. Become an Eagle.
