EVP Volleyball Announces Tentative 2026–2027 EVP Eagles Coaching Lineup and Major Program Expansion

The future of the EVP Eagles has never looked brighter.

Following one of the strongest competitive seasons in club history, EVP Volleyball is proud to officially announce the tentative coaching lineup for the upcoming 2026–2027 REP season. With the club preparing to expand from 15 teams to 25 teams this coming year, EVP continues to grow as one of Ontario’s premier volleyball development programs.

From record-setting tournament success to major facility expansion and the addition of experienced new coaches, the upcoming season represents another major step forward for the EVP Eagles program.

Please note: As the season is still approximately four months away, some coaching assignments and assistant coaching positions may still be adjusted throughout the summer.

A Season of Growth and Momentum

The 2025–2026 season was one of the most successful in EVP history, highlighted by:

  • Multiple teams competing in Division 1 at Ontario Provincials
  • Our top 13U and 14U teams finishing Top 8 in Ontario
  • A record number of Top 3 tournament finishes across all age groups
  • Continued growth across all EVP programming
  • Over 2,200 athletes participating in EVP House League programming this past year alone

As EVP continues to grow, the club is excited to announce a new partnership with Fit Courts in Mississauga. This expansion will provide additional training opportunities and gym access right on the Oakville/Mississauga border, only minutes from EVP’s beach facility.

The addition of 8 new REP teams will create more opportunities than ever before for athletes in EVP programs to transition into high-level competitive volleyball.

What Makes EVP Different

At EVP, volleyball is about far more than just winning.

While the club takes pride in competing with the best teams in Ontario and beyond, EVP’s foundation has always been built around community, culture, development, and passion for the game.

From House League players to REP athletes, adult league players, coaches, and alumni, EVP has built a volleyball community centered around one shared belief:

We love volleyball.

EVP coaches are taught from day one that athletes improve the most when they genuinely love what they are doing. That means balancing accountability, hard work, structure, and high standards with energy, positivity, connection, and enjoyment.

The club’s coaching philosophy emphasizes:

  • Long-term athlete development
  • Positive coaching relationships
  • Competitive excellence
  • Accountability and discipline
  • Team-first culture
  • Confidence building
  • Passion for the game

Families looking through EVP’s reviews and community presence will quickly see that the EVP culture extends far beyond the court.

A Message From EVP President Matt Green

“At EVP, we believe volleyball can change lives. Yes, we want our athletes to compete, improve, and achieve great things on the court — but what truly matters is the confidence they build, the friendships they create, the adversity they learn to overcome, and the community they become part of.

We are building something much bigger than just teams and tournaments. We are building a volleyball family and a culture where athletes feel supported, challenged, motivated, and proud to be part of something special.

The growth we are seeing is exciting, but what excites me even more is the quality of people joining our coaching staff and the incredible families who continue to believe in what EVP stands for. The future of EVP Eagles volleyball is incredibly bright.”

Travel vs Non-Travel Teams

Travel Teams

EVP Travel Teams are designed for athletes seeking the highest level of commitment, competition, and development opportunities within the club structure.

Travel team athletes receive:

  • 3 practices per week
  • 2 “play-up” tournaments in older age divisions
  • 2 drivable multi-day USA tournaments
  • Additional travel competition opportunities
  • 6 extra weeks of strength & conditioning training
  • All benefits included in the non-travel program

Travel teams will be headlined by many of EVP’s top coaches and are designed for athletes pursuing an elite competitive experience.

Non-Travel Teams

EVP Non-Travel Teams provide a highly competitive REP volleyball experience while maintaining a more localized schedule.

Non-travel athletes receive:

  • 2 practices per week
  • 2 Invitational tournaments
  • 4 OVA tournaments
  • Ontario Provincials
  • 12 weeks of strength & conditioning training

These teams continue to play a massive role in EVP’s development pathway and competitive success.

Welcoming New Head Coaches

As part of EVP’s continued growth and expansion into the 2026–2027 season, the club is excited to officially welcome several new Head Coaches to the EVP Eagles coaching staff.

Please join us in welcoming:

  • Christine Lundy
  • Bryan McKenzie
  • Vy Diep
  • Jasmeen O’Neill
  • France Doruelo
  • Sarah Fernandes
  • Giovanni Nelson

These coaches bring a wide range of playing, coaching, leadership, and volleyball development experience to the club and represent another exciting step forward in EVP’s continued commitment to building one of the strongest coaching staffs in Ontario.

What makes this especially exciting is that so many passionate coaches continue to want to be part of what EVP is building — a culture focused on development, accountability, positivity, community, and a true love for the game.

As EVP continues to grow from 15 REP teams to a projected 23 REP teams this coming season, adding strong leaders and quality people to the coaching staff remains one of the club’s highest priorities.

The future of EVP Eagles volleyball has never looked brighter.
