Dan Dearing Transitioning to High Performance Director
A message from Matt Green, President of EVP Volleyball
We wanted to share an important update regarding Dan Dearing and his role with EVP.
Over the past 18 months, Dan has been working full-time with EVP as our Vice President, playing a key role in the growth of our programs and supporting both our athletes and coaching staff.
During this time, Dan has been commuting between Georgetown and his home in Kingston with his wife, which has required significant weekly travel. With that in mind, he has made the decision to begin a new career path that allows him to be more present with his family.
While we are excited for Dan as he takes this next step, we are very pleased to share that he will continue with EVP in a new role as our High Performance Director.
In this role, Dan will:
- Lead the planning and development of all EVP High Performance programming
- Work closely with our coaches to continue strengthening the level of training across the club
- Run specialty clinics and make guest appearances with athletes
- Continue supporting and mentoring our coaching staff
What this means for programming:
- Saturday Spring Indoor Rep Program: No changes. Dan will continue to run this program on Saturdays through June.
- Rep Beach Program: No changes. Dan will continue to design and oversee the program, which will be delivered by our EVP coaching team as planned.
- High Performance Program (Invite-Only): This program will be adjusted slightly, as Dan will not be running it directly. A credit will be issued to participants.
- Prep for Rep Camps: These sessions will also be adjusted, and a credit will be issued, as Dan will not be directly running them.
Dan will continue to play an important role in shaping our programming and supporting our coaches, while also working directly with athletes through clinics and special sessions.
On behalf of everyone at EVP, we want to thank Dan for his contributions and wish him all the best in this next chapter. We are grateful that he will continue to be part of our team and contribute to the development of our athletes and programs.
