Owen Scarrow has joined the EVP coaching staff after playing in EVP's adult leagues since the age of 16. A former nationally ranked swimmer, Owen didn't start playing competitive volleyball in the OVA until his 17U season. Although he only had two seasons of OVA play, his teams were always successful. As a member of the 17U Pakmen team, his team won a provincial bronze and a national gold medal. After moving from Pakmen to Guelph for his 18U year, his on-court leadership took a last-place Grizzlies team from the year prior to a 10th place finish at provincials.

Because of his lack of competitive years, Owen has made it his goal to round out his skill set so that he can effectively coach every single skill to the next generation of players. In the 2020 season, Owen coached the 17U boys to the most successful boys season EVP has ever had. Most importantly, Owen wants the game to continue growing. The game of volleyball was there for him when he was younger and he wants to be there as both an on-court and off-court mentor for the next generation.
