EVP Volleyball Encourages Athletes to Prepare Early for 2026-2027 Rep Try-Outs
With the start of the 2026-2027 EVP Eagles Rep Try-Outs just weeks away, EVP Volleyball is encouraging athletes to begin preparing now by taking advantage of the club’s pre-try-out development opportunities.
Try-outs officially begin September 8th, and every season athletes from across the region compete for spots on EVP Eagles teams. To help players arrive prepared and confident, EVP offers specialized Prep for Rep Camps and Pre-Try-Out Skills Clinics throughout August.
For many athletes, the transition from beach volleyball—or a summer away from indoor training—takes time. Regaining timing, movement, and confidence on an indoor court can make a significant difference during evaluations.
“Our goal is to give every athlete the opportunity to walk into try-outs feeling ready,” said Matt Green, President of EVP Volleyball. “These programs help players get valuable touches on the ball, improve individual skills, and become comfortable playing indoors again before evaluations begin.”
In addition to preparing athletes physically, these sessions also allow coaches to become familiar with players before try-outs through their effort, attitude, coachability, and commitment in the gym.
Prep for Rep Camps
EVP’s Prep for Rep Camps provide athletes with high-volume training, game play, position-specific instruction, and a structured environment designed specifically to prepare players for rep evaluations.
The camps have become one of EVP’s most popular annual programs and are nearly sold out, with only a limited number of spots remaining.

Pre-Try-Out Skills Clinics
Athletes can also attend EVP’s Pre-Try-Out Skills Clinics, which focus on individual skill development including serving, passing, attacking, defence, setting, and overall indoor readiness.
These clinics consistently attract large numbers of athletes each season and provide an excellent opportunity to sharpen skills before evaluations begin.

Rep Try-Out Registration
EVP continues to encourage athletes to register for two or more try-out sessions whenever possible. Multiple evaluations provide coaches with a more complete picture of each athlete and allow players additional opportunities to showcase their abilities.
Returning EVP athletes, players from other clubs, and athletes looking to begin their rep volleyball journey are all encouraged to attend.

EVP Volleyball looks forward to welcoming athletes back into the gym and kicking off another exciting Eagles Rep season this September.
